Hi Kate! Thought I'd check out your blog. Your mum told me how much you love art . . .GOOD job getting "out there" with your drawings!
Remember, the number ONE thing about becoming an artist is to do art ALL THE TIME. Never stop sketching. When I was your age I liked realistic drawings the most so I took medical books out of the library and drew bones and muscles endlessly. There are some great books about drawing anime if that's what you love right now. Hope you have found some. Best way to get better is to study art you love.

Great work on your blog! I agree completely with what Mo said - if you're the kind of person that likes to draw, always keep at it - because the more you draw, the better you'll get.
I myself used to always copy superhero drawings from my favorite comic books, and I would often illustrate characters from sci-fi and fantasy books that I read, the way I pictured them in my head, that was fun stuff. I love anime too, very cool.
I'm always looking at other artists' work and trying to find new techniques and ways to do tricky things, like drawing hair, eyes, folds in clothing, etc. All those choices you make determine your own personal style, which you develop gradually over time. I can see you're well on your way with the coloring and the characters you've already created - keep up the good work!
